Stan Bowen is a representational painter with strong influences from the early 20th century California impressionists. He lives in the beautiful seaside village of Cambria, California. Inspiration for his work is all around him.
Stan learned to paint in his teens by studying with older artists in Laguna Beach. His most important mentor was Earl Daniels, a master seascape painter. Stan believes that beauty is a real force in nature, not just a subjective notion. Finding beauty is the real purpose of painting.
